Natural and synthetic fibers
The process of dyeing yarn is a project where I choose eight different yarns and made four dye baths with specific dyes. To visualize the different ways the yarn reacts to the baths they were displayed next to each other so the color tones made both an informative and aesthetically pleasing object.
Later on, I used the knowledge I gained from this experiment to make a blanket from one natural and one synthetic yarn. With the knitting machine I knitted a piece of fabric with a hidden pattern that could only been seen after the process of dyeing.
